Three Days, Three Restaurants, One Culinary Story in Kohler Wisconsin

Some hospitality projects are about showcasing a menu. Others are about capturing the experience that surrounds it.

When FoodPhotoStudio traveled to Kohler, Wisconsin, for a three-day production with Kohler Hospitality, the assignment was to document a culinary program in motion—one shaped by exceptional food, thoughtful service, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.

Working alongside the culinary teams led by Executive Chef RJ Cooper, we photographed three distinct dining destinations: Taverne on Woodlake, The Immigrant Restaurant, and The Horse & Plow. While each restaurant offers its own atmosphere and point of view, together they tell a larger story about hospitality at Kohler.

The Immigrant Restaurant

Located within The American Club, The Immigrant Restaurant delivers a refined dining experience rooted in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Photographing the space required a different approach. Here, the emphasis shifted toward elegance, atmosphere, and precision. From carefully composed plates to architectural details and ambient dining scenes, every image was created to reflect the restaurant's distinctive sense of occasion.

Taverne on Woodlake

Taverne on Woodlake strikes a balance between comfort and sophistication. The atmosphere feels approachable, yet every detail reflects a thoughtful commitment to quality.

Our photography focused on the restaurant's vibrant food and beverage offerings, inviting interiors, and the social moments that make it a favorite destination for guests and locals alike. The goal was to create imagery that feels welcoming, energetic, and authentic to the experience of dining there.

The Horse & Plow

The Horse & Plow offers a different expression of hospitality—one built around comfort, connection, and a relaxed sense of community.

For this portion of the shoot, we focused on the elements that make guests want to settle in and stay awhile: approachable food, inviting spaces, lively interactions, and the unmistakable warmth that defines a great neighborhood gathering place.

Building a Visual Library for Hospitality

Today's hospitality brands need more than a handful of food photographs. They need imagery that can tell a complete story across websites, social media, advertising, public relations, and guest communications.

Throughout the production, we created a comprehensive collection of assets that included:

• Signature dishes and seasonal offerings

• Beverage and cocktail photography

•  Restaurant interiors and environmental imagery

•  Kitchen and service moments

• Hospitality and lifestyle photography

Together, these images provide Kohler Hospitality with a versatile visual library that reflects the depth and diversity of its dining experiences.

More Than a Photoshoot

What stood out most during our time in Kohler was the consistency of hospitality across every restaurant we visited. The concepts may differ. The menus may change. The atmosphere may shift from casual to refined. But the commitment to creating meaningful guest experiences remains the same.

Our role as photographers is to translate those experiences into images that feel genuine, inviting, and memorable. Over three days, we documented far more than food. We captured the people, places, and moments that make dining at Kohler a destination experience.

We are grateful to the entire Kohler Hospitality team for welcoming us behind the scenes and allowing us to help tell their story.

Whether you're unveiling a new culinary leader, opening a new concept, or building a library of marketing assets for your hospitality brand, we'd love to help tell your story through compelling, purposeful imagery. Let's create something remarkable together.
